Blind Side, released in 2009 and has since made more than $ 300 million, is rightly regarded as one of the worst instances of the White savior complex in Hollywood. "The Blind Side," based on the former NFL attacking story Michael Oher (played by Quinton Aaron) and his inspiring journey from homelessness to NCAA All-American, turned his story into that of Sandra Bullock's character Leigh Anne Tuohy. Tuohy, a white, wealthy woman from Memphis, Tennessee, sees Oher roaming the streets wearing a T-shirt and shorts on a cold, wet night and takes her home. After discovering that Oher was homeless, she becomes her legal guardian and provides her with the resources he needs to go to college with an athletic scholarship, for better or worse.
